A Community Church on the campus of Randolph-Macon College
Missionaries in L'viv, Ukraine

Duncan Memorial has entered into a covenant agreement with David & Shannon Goran, Methodist missionaries in L'viv, Ukraine. This support includes financial as well as prayer support for their ministries.

On August 28 at 7:00 pm in the fellowship hall, our missionaries that went to Ukraine, Julie & Megan Keaney and Susan Whitt, are sponsoring an Ice Cream Social to give time to share their experiences working with the Gorans in July 2011. Donations made at this event will help sponsor future missionaries from Duncan Memorial.

David Goran serves as Pastor and Director of Student Ministry with responsibilities for overseeing campus ministry among the various universities in L’viv. His focus is working with students in a number of ways, including large group gatherings, small groups and outreach. David is also involved in church planting. "God’s mission is being carried out through the making of disciples, teaching them to obey everything which has been taught to us. The Spirit guides us to be a transformed community of believers," David shares.

Shannon Goran is Associate Director of Student Ministry.  With a background in social work, Shannon is excited about working with the young women of the Ukraine through facilitation of small groups. She also works with the student ministry leadership team, not only teaching leadership in a ministry setting, but also looking at it in a secular world.

A team from Duncan Memorial was able to meet with Erika Pushkarova, a student working with David & Shannon in the Ukraine, at Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas, Va. in March 2011.
